Drug-free workplace: Drug Testing
Project ADAM also offers services to local businesses, including supervisor training, employee education and drug testing. Project ADAM offers drug testing that includes pre-employment, random, post accident, reasonable suspicion and follow-up drug testing to ensure a drug and alcohol free work environment and lower worker’s compensation rates. Drug and alcohol testing is performed at affordable prices.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) stipulates that a company must meet the following requirements:
- Drug testing
Drug testing involves annual random testing on 50 percent of company employees. Also included are pre-employment, post accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow-up tests on all company employees. All urine specimens are analyzed for the following drugs: marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates and PCP. - Alcohol testing
Alcohol testing involves random testing on 10 percent of company commercial drivers on an annual basis. Post accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow-up testing are also required. - Company Policy
Project ADAM will assist a company in developing a written policy regarding drug and alcohol testing. All employees should be properly informed of the company policy. - Training
Project ADAM will provide each company supervisor with training and education on the detection of alcohol and drugs. Each company employee will receive education on alcohol and drug use and misuse and questions will be answered about the Omnibus Act, company policy, drug and alcohol testing procedures. - Consultation
Project ADAM is available to all companies for consultation. If an employee tests positive for alcohol or drugs, Project ADAM will provide an assessment by a Substance Abuse Professional for the individual and a referral to treatment. - MRO Service Provider

Dr. Orr provides industrial health services including worker's compensation, MRO services for drug testing, employment physical screenings and executive health programs. In addition, Dr. Orr provides DOT pre-employment physicals.
