About Project ADAM

Project ADAM is a non-profit community assistance center established in 1980 by a group of ministers trained in the areas of alcohol and drug prevention, early identification, intervention and referral.

As a result of federal funding cuts and the subsequent removal of alcohol and drug services from the area, the founders decided to fill the gap by creating Project ADAM to provide a combination of community education, direct services and family activities.  Much of the success of Project ADAM has been due to the involvement and support of citizens and service agencies in the Northeast Georgia area as well as the Barrow County Board of Commissions.

Services currently provided by Project ADAM include Clinical Evaluation, Residential Treatment, Adolescent Treatment, Outpatient Treatment, Anger Management, a Risk Reduction Program, Life Skills Training, Defensive Driving Courses, and a number of other services to our patients and the community.
